Yin Yoga - Two Groups Available!
Ages: 9th Grade through Adult
JMelt into the floor for a calming, excruciating 75 minutes in this mind-blowing yoga class. Yin Yoga will challenge and soothe you all at the same time. This class will bring attention and awareness to the forefront as we hold poses for longer periods of time and enjoy the complexity and mystery of our individual bodies. There will be two sections of this four week class. Our earlier class will be our more traditional mellow class. The later class will include longer holds and more challenging poses. Be sure to note which class you would like when registering. Space is limited, so register as soon as possible and remember to note which class you would like. Preference will be given to those already enrolled this past year.

Introduction to Fascial Release – New Workshop!
Ages: 18+
Description: This course is for anyone who wants to release tension patterns in your body; improve mobility, flexibility, and strength; gain more mindful awareness of your body; and care for both your body and mind. We will move through several important stretching and movement practices to improve the health of your fascia and create more space and fluidity in your body. You will discover why your fascia is so important to how you feel and move. Bring water, a yoga matt, pen & paper for notes, wear clothes you can comfortably move and stretch in.

Seedlings - movement for our youngest dancers
Ages: 4-6 years old
Children ages 4-6 will have the opportunity to develop coordination and cooperation in this Preschool Movement Class. The activities will build flexibility and spatial awareness and develop gross motor skills through play and games. The class will be introduced to various styles and music from different parts of the world. Skill building will include:
Rhythm making and timing
Practice using voices for singing & bodies for dancing
Develop listening skills
Work together to move as a group
Gain and Increase coordination, balance, flexibility, strength and spatial awarenessInstructor: Amy Haslett-Marroquin

Weeping Willows - Open Level Ballet for Teen Dancers
Ages: 9th Grade and up – others able to join with instructor permission
This class will be an open level ballet class that will focus on technique to support you in growing in grace and elegance. We will take a deep dive into cultivating our basic technique and developing our stamina as class progresses in a sequential fashion to grow your skills naturally. This class will include stretching and strengthening as well as embodiment work to grow your artistry as a dancer. The art and discipline of ballet technique combine with healthy somatic awareness of how our own bodies meet the needs of this challenging form. Class size is limited, and preference will be given to those enrolled this past year.

Wildflowers/Mossy Oaks Combined - Intermediate/Advanced Ballet
Ages: 9th Grade and up -
others able to join with instructor permissionThis class will include intermediate and advanced level ballet technique which will include more complex combinations at the barre and in the center. Focus will be on building community, grace, and stamina as we practice together every week. This class will include stretching and strengthening as well as embodiment work to grow your artistry as a dancer. The art and discipline of ballet technique combine with healthy somatic awareness of how our own bodies meet the needs of this challenging form. Class size is limited, and preference will be given to those enrolled this past year.

Silver Birches - Ballet for 55+
Ages: Intended for those 55 years and older
This class will provide an elegant, holistic movement guide to support our body-mind awareness using gentle ballet technique. We will progress through class using a ballet-focused healing approach to embrace our natural well-being. Together we will access the wonderful tools that our bodies carry and tap into our innate body wisdom resources to grow our alignment, balance, and strength. We will reap the benefits of this natural intelligence through the nurturing process of structured and improvisational movement to enhance longevity, flexibility, and well-being. Come dance with us to find the simple joy of moving together with care!

Summer Dance Theater Company
Summer Dance Theater is a wonderful way to join a small group of dancers in creating a piece for our annual Canopy Jam Festival! We will be doing an intensive workshop week this summer with a performance at Canopy Jam at 11:45am on July 20th at The Northfield Depot. We will build a new dance together and learn some repertoire for our final performance. If you/your dancer are interested, contact Shari ASAP as space is limited.
